Chuck Romano was five years old when he received a Marshall Brodien TV Magic set as a gift from his parents. Shortly thereafter, Chuck saw HOUDINI, the 1953 motion picture starring Tony Curtis. These experiences started him on a magical journey that continues to this day.
Chuck has amazed and amused thousands with his unique brand of entertainment since his first public performance at the age of seven. In addition to performing magic around the country; Romano is also an author & publisher of several books, a collector and historian of magic.
In 1997 Romano wrote and published the ground-breaking book, The Art of Deception. The book was honored by the Society of American Magicians with their prestigious Henry Ridgely Evans History Award. Since then Chuck has authored several books on magic and his award-winning work has appeared in several trade journals and publications, including MAGIC magazine, The Linking Ring, Genii, and many more.
Romano wrote, directed, co-produced and starred in his own cable television special in 2000. The special was recognized with three nominations for the Cammy Award -- public access television's equivalent of the Emmy award. He has also consulted for television and major motion pictures.
